Krista has more than 13 years of experience developing, managing and auditing quality assurance and ISO programs for accreditation bodies, certification agencies and food processing facilities.
Krista provides critical expertise in quality development, quality management, internal and external auditing, and audit training on a wide range of standards including ISO 65, USDA National Organic Program (NOP), European Union 834 Equivalency, International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movement, Forestry and Fisheries, Canadian Organic Regime(COR), Environmental Claims, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).
Krista has consulted and conducted audits of some of the top organic accreditation and certification agencies in the US, Asia, South America and Europe. She has also consulted and conducted audits of certification agencies providing accredited food safety programs.
Krista is the Treasurer for OC and works closely with the OC consultants and clients to develop and establish Quality Manuals and Document Control Systems to recognized models. She also provides support with writing standard operating procedures, creating documents and providing document control services to OC’s clients and constituents of the organic industry.
Krista graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999 with an emphasis in auditing. Krista is a RABQSA ISO 9000 Lead Auditor and RABQSA Quality Systems Manager. She has also received American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Assessor training and ISO Lead Auditor training. Krista is a supporting member of Independent Organic Inspectors Association (IOIA).
